quarterly newsletter sent to members, supporters and people
interested.
Distribution
of information brochures, e.g. for 'Teachers and Carers'
and resources.
A
web site set up as a source of information and another way
for families or other interested people to contact the group.
Phone
contact with families and older Heartkids in need.
Annual
Christmas Party
Members'
heart children are sent birthday cards.
Sale
of merchandise for fundraising and awareness.
Working
in conjunction with companies and organisations to increase
community awareness of children throughout South Australia
who have heart conditions.
Donations
to fund the purchase of equipment for cardiac, clinic and
department.
$55,
000 donated to the Cardiac Clinic and Cardiology Department
in 2001/02 will benefit children with heart conditions to
purchase equipment.
